Scott Franklin was born in Ruston, Louisiana. Although he has Cajun roots, Scott has spent the majority of his life in Arkansas where he studied painting and graphic art at Southern Arkansas University. He completed his degree in 2005 after exhibiting a one-man show at Brinson Fine Art gallery. Upon graduation, Scott moved to Little Rock to pursue a career as a graphic artist.

Although he enjoys the versatility of working with digital media, Scott's first love remains the paintbrush. Drawing influence from Cubism and Fauvism, his style expresses the human mind processing movement and memory in a collage of acrylic glaze and found objects. His amorphic forms simplify movement and create emotion while a variety of textures add depth and dimension.

Scott's reputation continues to grow with an arsenal of corporate commissions, as well as collectors in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Texas. Prominent collectors include the United States Air Force Blue Angels, Crews & Associates Investment Banking Firm, ARcare Health Services and Pen Air Federal Credit Union.

Scott currently resides in Little Rock with his wife Staci and their dog Pablo. He enjoys teaching art part-time and hopes to one day pursue teaching at an academic level. His hobbies include cooking and studying American history.
